Miniature Xperia Z1 surfaces briefly on Sony Mobile website
A miniature version of the Sony Xperia Z1 could be on its way, after a listing for a device called the Xperia Z1s appeared briefly on the Sony Mobile website before being pulled offline. The device is thought to be a rebranded version of the Xperia Z1f, a device that originally launched in Japan for NTT DoCoMo in early October.
The website listing spotted by Xperia Blog offers little in the way of information, except for a name for the device, with the "s" suffix likely to refer to its small size compared to the 5-inch model. If it is the same as the Xperia Z1f, it should ship with a 4.3-inch, 720p display, a 20.1-megapixel camera, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE, Wi-Fi, and a 2,300mAh battery.
While a release date is not known, if it is a rebranded Xperia Z1f, the Xperia Z1s could be coming out in the US and Europe before the end of this year.
