Moto Maker Moto X customization site hits Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile

Moto X customization now on all major carriers

As many expected, the Moto Maker Moto X customization feature has now expanded from AT&T to include all four major American carriers. The Moto X site now shows Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile as carrier options, along with AT&T. The expansion of the feature to at least Verizon was anticipated by many, as the carrier accidentally leaked a page showing off the Motorola flagship and saying it could be customized. That page, though, was quickly taken down, and the feature was put back under wraps until its proper launch today.

T-Mobile and Sprint were also rumored to be getting the Moto Maker feature on Monday, and those rumors bore out. Using the Moto Maker system, customers can choose a number of different aspects of their handset, including color, memory, and other features. In total, Motorola says there are more than 2,000 looks possible for its new phone. The devices are assembled within the United States before being shipped to customers. They typically arrive within four business days.

Customers buying the Moto X will be getting a device that does not run Google's newest operating system, Android 4.4 KitKat. The Google-owned company, though, has already confirmed that the Moto X will be seeing a KitKat upgrade in the near future.
