New towers outfitted with up to i5 Haswell processors

Dell has announced a new business-class PC. The OptiPlex 3020 tower series provides what the company calls "industry-leading performance and best-in-class security in a budget-friendly package." The new tower line is powered by Intel Core i5 "Haswell" processors, can be outfitted with Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7, and has integrated Intel HD4600 graphics.

The new tower provides security with a Trusted Platform Management (TPM) chip and Dell Data Protection solutions. Dell Data Protection-Encryption is pre-installed for advanced authentication and malware prevention, as is Dell Data Protection-Protected Workspace to protect employees and data from advanced malware attacks in real time.

Configurations in either a full-size tower or minitower are available now, starting at $499.
