Nokia apparently will soon release its Lumia 929 smartphone on Verizon, as images of the device have shown up on the Internet. Windows Phone Central published leaked images of the device on Saturday, seemingly confirming that Verizon will get a special White colorway of the handset. Serial leaker @evleaks also published photos of the deviceThe release date for the device is as yet unknown, but a number of leaks have shown off what will likely be its specifications.

The Lumia 929 is expected to pack a 5-inch display outputting at 1080x1920. Inside, it will likely have 2GB of RAM, as well as 32GB of internal storage. Powering the device will be a Snapdragon 800 processor, and it is expected that the processor will be clocked at 2.2GHz. It will, as with other Lumia devices, run Windows Phone 8.

The device is also said to feature Nokia's PureView imaging technology and a 20-megapixel rear camera with oversampling and a dual LED flash. For connectivity, the 4G LTE phone will pack NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and Wi-Fi. It will also have Qi wireless charging capabilities.

Perhaps its most notable feature will be its battery. Nokia is said to be packing a 2510mAh battery into the device, ensuring long battery life.

The 929's release date is still unknown, but observers note that it may drop before the end of the year. The most recent estimates have the device appearing on Verizon in mid- to late-December. The white version that showed up in the new pictures is thought to be a limited edition colorway, with the other known option being a black version.
