Velocity Micro launches SmallBlock MiniITX computer line

Models available with i3, i5, i7, Xeon, and AMD processors

Boutique computer manufacturer Velocity Micro has announced the the immediate availability of the SmallBlock, a new line of Mini ITX desktops for all customers. The company calls the devices "inspired by the compact, V8 engines of classic muscle cars" with the new computer line featuring a variety of Intel CPU options up to and including the Xeon line, as well as AMD A10 APUs.

The 12.75-inch tall by 8-inch wide by 9.1-inch deep computers were specifically designed for aesthetics and cooling. Key features of the enclosure and computer include a satin black aluminum construction, full-sized internal ATX 80Plus power supplies for better expansion, double-width graphics card options for gaming or CAD configurations, and room for two SSD or platter-based storage drives along with one DVD-RW or Blu-ray optical drive.

Prices range from $999 and up, in either Windows 7 or 8.1 configurations.
