Withings Aura unveiled at CES, offers users improved sleep, monitoring
Withings, a company that focuses on health-related technology, has released its latest sleep-improvement technology, the Withings Aura. A system designed to both monitor and improve the user's sleep experience, Withings Aura uses light and sound programming to facilitate more relaxed falling asleep and waking.
The sleep system is comprised of a soft and discreet sensor that slips underneath a mattress, and a bedside device, both of which record and monitor body movements, breathing cycles and heart rate. Additionally, the system can document the sleeping environment in terms of noise level, temperature and light levels. Its light and sound technology replicate one's circadian rhythm's frequency and pattern, and promote relaxation and stimulation accordingly. Priced at $300, the Withings Aura will be available in the spring of 2014, and will be accompanied by a free mobile app.
