Lenovo shows four new laptop models, one new all-in-one computer

New models bring Haswell processors, faster GPU options

Alongside its other monitor and home electronics announcements, Lenovo has also shown three new additions to its consumer line of laptops and desktops. The new clamshell Y40, Y50, Z40 and Z50 laptops and the C560 all-in-one (AIO) desktop and the Y Series laptops give users the latest graphics options, while the Z Series offers a selection of color choices, VeriFace facial recognition and motion/voice control. Additionally, the C560 AIO provides families a large screen multitouch home PC.

The new 14-inch Y40 and 15.6-inch Y50 laptops offer Windows 8.1 in a black shell. The Y50 also offers an optional backlit keyboard, and choices of an up to Ultra HD 3840x2160 display or Full HD 1920x1080 display with optional touch, while the Y40 features a Full HD display. Graphic processing options include AMD Radeon on the Y40 and Nvidia GeForce on the Y50. Both the Y40 and Y50 are powered by an up to fourth-generation Intel Core i7 processor,.

The 14-inch Z40 and 15.6-inch Z50 laptops have an optional Full HD 1920x1080 screen, up to a fourth-generation Intel Core i7 processor, optional Nvidia GeForce graphics, Windows 8.1 and Dolby Home Theatre v4. They also come with storage up to 1TB either HDD or hybrid SSHD. The Z40 and Z50 laptops are available in choices of black, silver or white.

The C560 AIO features a 23-inch Full HD display with optional multitouch, up to a fourth-generation Intel Core i7 processor and GeForce graphics to boost performance. Up to 2TB of storage is available, as well as an optional TV tuner and HDMI out support.

The Y40 and Y50 laptops start at $999 and will be available in May. The Z40 and Z50 starts at $600, and will ship in March. The C560 is available with models as low as $659, and will be available in February.
