5.2-inch Xperia smartphone could be joined by new Sony tablet
Sony could be preparing to unveil a new flagship smartphone in the next month, according to a rumor. The codename "Sirius" device is tipped to be launched at Mobile World Congress in February, though it is possible that another device, a high-end tablet codenamed the Sony "Castor" could also make an appearance at the Barcelona-based trade show.
The pair of posts from the @evleaks Twitter account claims the Sirius will be powered by a MSM8974AB System-on-Chip, a version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor that has a few graphical improvements compared to the chip used in recent devices, and though no resolution is mentioned for the 5.2-inch display, it is likely to have the same or greater resolution compared to the 1080p Xperia Z1.

The Castor will have a similar processor to the Sirius, though it will be a tablet instead of a smartphone, and will ship in 4G and Wi-Fi models. Size, resolution, and other specifications are unknown, but these may surface closer to MWC itself.
