Boost Mobile to offer Moto G, its first Motorola product since 2011
Boost Mobile, the pre-paid Sprint imprint, has announced the release of Motorola's Moto G through its nationwide retail stores and online. The first Motorola product offered by Boost Mobile since 2011, the 3G budget smartphone has a 4.5-inch HD screen made with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass, and possesses a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor.
The Moto G comes pre-loaded with free interactive FM radio application NextRadio, and runs Android 4.3 Jellybean with a guaranteed upgrade to 4.4 (KitKat) in February, a few months after its debut. Additional key features of the Moto G include a five-megapixel camera, a 2070mAh battery, and Bluetooth 4.0 capability. Available for $130, the Moto G is offered on Boost Mobile's no-contract $55 Monthly Unlimited plan. The Moto G can be purchased online through Boost Mobile as of today, and from its retail locations starting January 20.
Sony Xperia Z1s now available for pre-order from T-Mobile
T-Mobile has partnered exclusively with Sony to offer the Sony Xperia Z1s, available for online pre-sale this week. A waterproof smartphone, the Xperia Z1s has an IP58 rating, making the device Sony's first waterproof smartphone in the US. The Xperia Z1s features a five-inch display, 20.7-megapixel camera, BIONZ image processing, and a Sony G lens.
T-Mobile customers can purchase the Xperia Z1s with $0 down and $22 monthly device payments for 24 months, or $530 at retail price. Between January 13 and 21, customers can receive a $100 Visa gift card upon purchasing.
