Twitter updating look of website to match its iOS and Android apps

Social media service Twitter has initiated rolling out an update to its website, with the aim to mirror the aesthetic approach to that of its app versions to iOS and Android. Users will be able to personalize their profile more than previously, with the settings menu including an option to add accent colors. The navigation bar is a different color and style than before, and some icons have been redesigned.

In addition, profile picture and background information will now appear in the top left-hand side of the screen, about the number of Tweets sent is located. The updates to Twitter.com are only aesthetic in nature, with no new functionalities added to the site version or the mobile apps. Some users may have already been given access to the updated site from being selected as a 'test' audience, with the remainder of Twitter users receiving access soon.

Motorola Assist extends accessibility function with hands-free texting

Motorola has updated its Motorola Assist app this week, adding new hands-free texting features. Users can now reply to incoming SMS messages using one's voice, broadening function for necessarily hands-free situations such as driving, or for those who require technology that accommodates physical disabilities. Also included in the update is improved driving detection, where Assist will automatically detect the moving vehicle, and can now automatically launch one's favorite music app.

Motorola Assist is available for download from Google Play, and is supported on the Moto X, Droid Ultra, Droid Mini and Droid Maxx.
