Oppo Neo has 4.5-inch 854x480 display, launching in Indonesia
Chinese phone manufacturer Oppo has launched a new smartphone in Indonesia. The Oppo Neo is a mid-range device sporting an 854x480-resolution 4.5-inch display, and though it does not have the resolution and specifications of the recent Oppo N1, the Neo does offer an extra-sensitive screen that is claimed to be responsive even if the user wears gloves.
Inside the Neo is a dual-core 1.3GHz processor, though GSM Arena reports that Oppo did not reveal the processor manufacturer, the amount of RAM, nor the storage of the device. Weighing 130g (4.5 ounces), it runs on Android 4.2 with Oppo's ColorOS overlay and a gesture-based "Quick Reach" mode, while the rear 5-megapixel camera is joined by a 2-megapixel front-facing counterpart, and a 1,900mAh battery.
Oppo is shipping the Neo as a dual-SIM device for 2,599,000 IDR ($215), though Oppo has not advised if it will be offering the Neo in other markets in the future.
