Possible Sony Xperia Z1 successor 'Sirius' surfaces in photographs

Forum images show Sony smartphone minor external changes

Photographs of what is thought to be Sony's follow-up to the Xperia Z1 have surfaced. The pictured smartphone, said to have the model number D6503, could possibly be the codenamed "Sirius" device that is rumored to be launched at Mobile World Congress next month, though it could possibly be another variant on the Xperia Z1 alongside the Xperia Z1 Mini.

Appearing on the XDA Developers forum, the images show a device with relatively thin bezels when compared to the extremely similar Xperia Z1. A trio of mic holes at the base replace the mesh grille in its predecessor, with the forum poster iRimas claiming it to have a 20.7-megapixel camera and a new user interface on top of Android 4.3, though this is apparently crashing for the user.

Earlier rumors suggest the Sirius to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and a 5.2-inch display that will probably match or exceed the 1080p Xperia Z1.
