Music discovery service decides not to shut down

Music discovery service Exfm had planned to shut down this week, as was announced late last year, but it has decided to remain operational. Exfm originally launched as a browser extension for finding MP3 files, and has since expanded with mobile apps, a blog widget and an API. Planning to explore partnerships with other companies, Exfm has yet to announce its future direction.

OptimizeMe launches for iOS, interprets life data

Life tracking app OptimizeMe launched today, aiming to assist users in recording their lives with the aim to make improvements. OptimizeMe allows the user to track everyday activities, places visited and people met, as well as mood level, stress, health status, quality of sleep, hydration and more. The software's 'virtual life coach' translates all inputed data by mining correlations into analyzed 'insights'.

OptimizeMe focuses heavily on customization, and can be used in conjunction with activity tracker Moves, accepting imported exercise data. Available for free download on iTunes, OptimizeMe requires iOS 6.0 or later.
