Launch of LG G Pro 2 expected to occur in late February
LG could be preparing to launch a successor to its Optimus G Pro at Mobile World Congress next month, according to a report. The LG G Pro 2 is said to have a 6-inch full HD display, an increase from the original's 5.5-inch version, while its general specifications list appears to mirror that of long-time competition Samsung's Galaxy Note 3.
The G Pro 2 has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM as the Note 3, reports sources of ETNews. Capable of connecting to both LTE and LTE-Advanced networks, it will also apparently be the first LG smartphone shipping with Android KitKat onboard, though this will be skinned with LG's customized UI with a focus on multitasking.

Following the launch of the original G Pro, LG created a lower-specification version of the device called the G Pro Lite, which retained the device's size and appearance. The company also released the Gx in December, which appeared to mix together the internals of the G Pro with the features and appearance of the flagship G2.
