SoundHound announces dedicated page for Grammy Awards night content

Music search app SoundHound has announced its addition of Grammy Awards content, featuring real-time awards show information as well as details regarding Sunday night's performers and award nominees. During the show, users watching the broadcast live on TV can use SoundHound to obtain the names of the artists performing, as they perform. Additionally, the service will provide real-time updates of award winners, and the latest tweets from the official "#grammys" hashtag.

SoundHound's broadcast recognition technology will be used for the Grammy Awards, accessible through the 'orange button' typically used for identifying recorded music as well as singing and humming. SoundHound is free to download, available for iOS devices through iTunes, for Android devices through Google Play, for BlackBerry 10 devices, and Windows Phone users via the Windows Phone Store.

Staccal 2 calendar app released, offering diverse customization options

Staccal 2, a calendar app for iOS, has been released this week. Offering a wide variety of layout options, Staccal 2 syncs event information from calendars already configured on a user's phone, making the switch to Staccal 2 simplistic. Its six major layout options are accessible from the app's main screen, and upon selection, Staccal holds twelve different calendar views. Font size, theme, gestures, and colors can also be changed. Staccal 2 can be purchased from iTunes for $1.
