MicroSD, USB ports provide additional connectivity for 700 lumen device
Acer today announced the availability of the "palm-sized" K137 LED portable home theater projector for US customers. Outfitted with two 3W speakers and SRS Wow HDTM stereo enhancement, the new projector delivers high-fidelity sound coupled with in a practical way to project movies, videos, and games both in and out of the home.
The new portable projector weighs 1.1 pounds and measures 7.4 x 4.6 x 1.6 inches. The unit has a MicroSD slot and a USB port for multimedia content, and has an HDMI-input for PC, game console, and Blu-Ray player use. DLNA compatibility is provided by an optional Acer MHL USB wireless adapter.
The projector displays at 1280x800 resolution, with a 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Brightness is 700 lumens in standard mode, with 560 lumens in Eco mode. Image size is 62 inches from less than 6.5 feet, with up to 95 percent of the NTSC color gamut. The LED is rated for 20,000 hours in standard mode and up to 30,000 in Eco mode.
The projector will be available later this month for $599.
