Samsung 'Huron' Windows Phone leaks with Verizon branding

updated 06:42 am EST, Tue February 4, 2014

Windows Phone 8.1 device from Samsung could launch this month

The Samsung SM-W750V, codenamed "Huron," will be heading to Verizon in the future, according to a leak. A new image of the rumored Windows Phone 8.1 device has surfaced along with the Verizon Wireless claim, with the timing of the leak at the same time as media invitations were sent out to the Samsung Unpacked event suggesting a launch at Mobile World Congress later this month.

Two weeks before the image appearance on the @evleaks Twitter account, a filing through Bluetooth SIG and a User Agent profile offered up details that it would have a five-inch, 1080p display. Another rumor pointed towards LTE connectivity and the potential addition of Voice over LTE (VoLTE) to the device. More information picked up by Phone Arena place it as having a quad-core processor with an Adreno 305 GPU, though its benchmark source appears to have misinterpreted the resolution of the display as 720x1280.

While it does not have an official name, other than the rumored codename and the model number, it is likely to launch under the ATIV branding, following earlier similar Windows Phone releases.
