Video hints at Windows Phone release, offers few clues

Nokia has started to tease what it could be showing at Mobile World Congress this month, with the release of a short but mysterious video clip. The YouTube video arrives alongside some claimed specifications for the rumored Android-powered Nokia X, a device which is also set to be revealed at the conference by the company, and suggestions the video could relate to the Lumia 929 or the Treasure Tag accessory.

The video itself, which asks "Have you heard what's coming?" to a soundtrack of engine noise, reveals little except for the Windows Phone logo, but The Verge suggests it could herald the arrival of the Lumia 929, which is said to be heading to Verizon in the near future. It is thought that the Lumia 929 will have a 5-inch 1080p display, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It will also apparently have a 20-megapixel rear camera with oversampling and a dual LED flash, Wi-Fi, LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Qi wireless charging, and a 2,510mAh battery.

Benchmark results on the CamSpeed database appear to show the Nokia X, the Android device codenamed "Normandy," as using a 3-megapixel fixed-focus camera, rather than the 5-megapixel previously rumored, reports Phone Arena. It also appears to run on Android 4.1, instead of 4.4, and appears in the benchmark as having a dual SIM card capability.

There is also suggestion that the Treasure Tag accessory will launch at the event. Surfacing in June last year, the proximity-sensing tag combines Bluetooth 4.0 with NFC, allowing the user to find items attached to the tag itself, such as keys.
