Asus VivoTab Note 8 goes on sale through Microsoft Store for $329

32GB version of VivoTab Note 8 hits retail, 64GB version missing

The Asus VivoTab Note 8 has gone on sale in the United States, with Microsoft's online store being the first retailer to offer the Windows 8.1 tablet. Originally confirmed by Asus itself via a leaked user manual before its launch at CES in January, the VivoTab Note 8 has an 8-inch IPS 800x1280 display using a Wacom digitizer, offering over 1,000 levels of pressure sensitivity.

An Intel Atom processor clocked at 1.33GHz with 2GB of RAM powers the device, along with 32GB of expandable storage. The rear 5-megapixel camera is accompanied by a 1.2-megapixel front-facing version, Miracast-enabled Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 pre-installed.

Though out of stock, Microsoft is selling the Asus VivoTab Note 8 for $329. It is unclear when the tablet will be available through other stores, with Engadget noting the 64GB version touted at CES has yet to surface at retail.
