Throwback photo-sharing app now available for Android
Throwback, an iOS app designed to send users and their friends photos at some point in the future, has expanded to include operability for Android devices. Originally launched a year ago by Calli Higgins as part of her Master's thesis, the app was created as a way to explore nostalgia and its ties to viewing images.
Users sign up with their email, and either take a new photo or select an existing one to send in the future to themselves, another person, or to both. Lastly, a time for sending can be chosen, from times ranging between a month away to five years from the time of sending. Its "Surprise Me" function randomizes when the image will be sent. Throwback is now available for download through Google Play.
