Yoshi themed limited edition 3DS XL launches March 14 for $199

Nintendo has announced that it will release a limited-edition, bright green, Yoshi-themed 3DS XL handheld on March 14. The release of the handheld coincides with the launch of the newest Yoshi game from Nintendo, Yoshi's New Island. While the console will have a price tag of $199, Nintendo has stated that it will not come pre-loaded with the new Yoshi game, nor will it come with a physical copy.

The limited edition takes a similar stance of not bundling the theme game as with the red and blue Pokémon X/Y editions, but different from other limited editions of the 3DS such as the gold version released for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

Official Nintendo store offers refurbished Wii U deluxe bundle for $200

On Nintendo's official online store, a new deal has shown up for customers in the market for a Wii U. A refurbished version of the deluxe model of the Wii U has turned up for the cost of $200, marked down from the normal $250 price on the storefront. The set features the 32GB version of the console with Wii U GamePad, a copy of Nintendo Land, and the necessary cables and sensor. The console still retains the normal one-year warranty that Nintendo affords its new consoles, but it is noted in the deal's fine print that the unit may "contain minor cosmetic blemishes." The same set currently retails for $274 on Amazon for a new version.

Maybe I was harsh - but this isn't real Tech news in a way, compare to the other headlines! Ah, maybe others find this interesting enough... Hmm!?

Yeah- we curate some of the important bits, and the Nintendo moves, even to offer a refurb is noteworthy, and perhaps something some of our readers note. We're never going to be a Kotaku or anything like that.

We cover a variety of things. We cover the Apple versus Samsung suit in much detail, and I'm pretty sure that's not of interest to somebody coming to hear about the new Mac Pro. It's all part of the service.

The forumers' gaming thread is thousands of posts long. There's at least a passing interest in this kind of thing. Posts about Humble Bundles and other deals of the ilk are well-read.
