Oppo Find 7 joined by lower-specification Find 7a

Oppo has unveiled its new flagship smartphone, the Find 7, as well as a more restrained version in the form of the Find 7a. Offering a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1440x2560 and a pixel density of 538ppi, the Find 7 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor running at 2.5GHz, supported by an Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.

The Android 4.3 smartphone boasts the ability to take a 50-megapixel image, though this is mostly driven through software. Phone Arena reports the device has a 13-megapixel IMX214 Sony Sensor with a dual LED flash and an aperture of f/2.0, which when used with the Pure Image 2.0 software, is able to combine a total of ten photographs into one 50-megapixel shot. The rear sensor is also capable of recording 4K video, and is accompanied by a front-facing 5-megapixel version. The Find 7 also offers a 3,000mAh battery that can charge from flat to 75 percent capacity within 30 minutes.

Oppo will start shipping the Find 7a on March 20th for 2,998 yuan ($484). A release date for the Find 7 has not been revealed, but it will cost 3,998 yuan ($645).
