Newest title in the franchise places gamers in the French Revolution

Ubisoft has revealed the new Assassin's Creed Unity title for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One systems. The latest title in the franchise has been in production for more than three years, according to the company. No story details have been released about the protagonist or if any new game elements are coming, such as the ship battles seen in Black Flag. However, the time frame and setting are outlined in the trailer, as the game takes place in France during the French Revolution. No official release date has been given for Unity, but the teaser trailer offers a "holiday 2014" window.

Titanfall's PC release to see improvements through Nvidia GameWorks

Nvidia has announced plans to work with Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment to bring improvements to the game on PC for users with Nvidia graphics hardware through the company's GameWorks technology. In the blog post from Nvidia, Vince Zampella of Respawn said that the venture is "working towards implementing several Nvidia GameWorks technologies that can make Titanfall look and play even better." Improvements include temporal anti-aliasing (TXAA), a film-style anti-aliasing to reduce screen crawl and flickering during motion, and using horizon-based ambient occlusion (HBAO+) to create lifelike shadows. Additional features to be addressed include support for SLI and 4K displays.
