Random selection will determine attendees from interested individuals
Google has officially launched its website for the 2014 Google I/O conference to be held on June 25-26. The conference attendees will be selected by lottery, with interested attendees submitting interest and the search engine randomly selecting those able to purchase a ticket. Previous years' events have revealed the Nexus lines of Google-sponsored hardware, major Android releases, Chromebooks, and Google Music.
The registration window for 2014 is open between April 8 and April 10. Ticket purchase confirmation emails to random selectees will be sent shortly thereafter. Tickets will cost $1,000, with student admissions coming in at $300.
As in previous years, the keynote and primary sessions will be livestreamed. More details on scheduled conferences and stream details will be revealed by the search engine soon.
