Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 surfaces in images, user agent profile leaks

updated 07:21 am EDT, Thu March 27, 2014

Galaxy Tab 4 could have 2560x1600 resolution, AMOLED screens

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 range has allegedly surfaced, with the 7.0-inch upgrade to the Galaxy Tab 3 appearing leaked marketing image. The rumored tablet collection is thought to have a high-end specification and an AMOLED display, with an uncovered User Agent Profile on Samsung's own servers suggesting that the larger models will ship with a resolution of 2,560x1,600, the same resolution as the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2.

The images from the @evleaks Twitter account offer little in the way of details for the device's specification, but does offer a few notable items. The design uses the familiar Samsung layout and style, complete with the metallic trim around the display side. Both the images show the same date of Thursday, April 24th, which could potentially be a launch or shipping date for the device.

SamMobile notes the User Agent Profile has the model number of SM-T805, which is close to that of the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2. The ARM-based processor is clocked at 1.4GHz, suggesting it not to be a high-performance device, yet still has the high-resolution display, potentially that of a 10-inch or higher screen. Extra listings for the SM-T800 and SM-T801 could be signs that it will be out in Wi-Fi, 3G, and LTE variants.
