Intel migrates Thunderbolt peer-to-peer networking on Windows 8

At the National Association of Broadcasters 2014 show, Intel extended its Thunderbolt networking technology to Windows. Previously available on OS X Mavericks, a pair of Thunderbolt-equipped computers can be directly connected with Thunderbolt Networking, giving the pair a full original Thunderbolt 10Gbps speed connection, using existing cables and connectors. The networking uses the TCP/IP protocol, and is fully cross-platform compatible.

Microsoft debating Xbox 360 emulation app for Xbox One

Microsoft is considering plans to bring a Xbox 360 emulator to the Xbox One. At the tail-end of Microsoft's Build developer conference last week, lead developer Frank Savage was asked if there were plans to bring the emulation to the XBox One. Savage responded that "there are, but we're not done thinking them through yet, unfortunately. It turns out to be hard to emulate the PowerPC stuff on the X86 stuff." Pre-launch rumors pegged the Azure cloud servers to stream Xbox 360 games, similar to how PlayStation 3 titles will stream with PlayStation Now.
