Latest Chrome beta for Android improves Chromecast support

Google has announced that it has begun rolling out a Chrome 35 beta for Android users today. Featuring improved Chromecast support, users can now send some video clips from the browser to a Chromecast-equipped TV. Additionally, Chrome now offers full-screen videos and improved support for multi-window devices. The update is available through Google Play.

TiVo updates firmware, includes setting recording defaults

DVR service provider, TiVo, has introduced a firmware update that has begun to roll out to owners. Offering revisions for Mini, Premiere and Roamio units, default recording options and bug fixes are featured. According to Engadget, some subscribers have had difficulties when trying to install the update -- either by way of receiving an error that requires shutting down the device for an extended period of time, or by devices rolling back to older code, losing customizations. A timeline for when these issues are to be resolved is not yet available.
