Galaxy Beam2 houses pico projector to show smartphone screen on wall
Samsung has launched a follow-up to the Galaxy Beam in China. The Galaxy Beam2 is a budget-specification smartphone running Android 4.2 with a 4.66-inch 480x800 WVGA display, but just like the original and the revised versions, the phone has a pico projector embedded in the top, allowing users to project a WVGA-resolution image onto a screen, wall, or other nearby surface.
The metal-clad smartphone weighs 165 grams (5.8 ounces) and measures 11.64mm (0.45 inches) thick, reports Phone Arena. Inside is a quad-core 1.2GHz processor with a rear 5-megapixel camera, flash, microSD card slot for extra storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 2,600mAh battery. Samsung's website does not state how much RAM the Galaxy Beam2 has, nor the capacity of its built-in storage.
