Authy now offering two-factor authentication for desktops

Two-factor authentication service Authy has launched a desktop app using Chrome's app framework. The new aspect of the service expands its users' ability to "use 'something you know' paired with 'something you have'" beyond a cellphone, smartphone or tablet, meaning that secondary authentication tokens can be accessed directly through the computer one is currently working on. Authy for desktops is available for free on the Chrome Web Store, and is compatible with Windows, OS X and Linux systems.
