Duo Camera of HTC One M8 seemingly missing in HTC One mini 2
A second version of the HTC One mini is on the way, according to a leaked render. Images of what is believed to be the HTC One mini 2 appear to show the device will have a few minor external design tweaks and will be available in three colors, though unlike the full-size HTC One (M8), it will not sport the same secondary Duo Camera that allows it to perform after-the-fact refocusing.
While the M8 uses a unibody, all-metal design, the mini 2 shown by @evleaks and the photographed version from Phone Arena seems to keep the same casing as its predecessor, though the flash has moved to the side instead of above the camera. It is also believed that, just like the M8, the mini 2 will use on-screen buttons on the face, instead of capacitive versions used previously.
Specifications for the mini 2 suggest it will have a 4.5-inch, 720x1280 display and a rear 13-megapixel camera, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1.4GHz with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
A launch or release date for the HTC One mini 2 is unknown, but considering the two leaks, it's likely to be soon.
