Lenovo ThinkPad 10 accessory range includes keyboard covers, dock

Lenovo is targeting business users with its latest Windows tablet in the ThinkPad range, succeeding the ThinkPad Tablet 2. Offering a 10.1-inch 1920x1200-resolution display with multitouch and a digitizer for stylus support, the ThinkPad 10 can be used with a collection of accessories that can expand the usefulness of the device from its basic tablet form.

Inside the ThinkPad 10 is a quad-core Bay Trail Intel Atom processor with the choice of 2GB or 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. On the back is an 8-megapixel camera with a front-facing 2-megapixel version, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity supplemented by an optional 3G connection. Ports for microHDMI, USB 2.0, audio, and microSD cards surround the Windows 8.1 device, and its battery is said to last for up to 10 hours.

At the same time, Lenovo will be releasing a number of accessories for the ThinkPad 10. One keyboard case effectively turns it into an Ultrabook with chicklet keys, while another is a softer version similar to the Surface covers, priced at $129 and $119 respectively. A base station will also be available for $119, allowing the ThinkPad 10 to dock to a desktop, which also provides three UB 3.0 ports, an Ethernet connection, and a HDMI output. The Quickshot case, previously released for the ThinkPad 8, will also be available for $59, while a rugged case will be sold for $59.

Lenovo will start shipping the ThinkPad 10 in June starting from $599.
