Monitor features full HD IPS display, seven-watt Onkyo sound technology speakers
A new monitor has been announced from AOC that brings stereo quality sound together with a full HD display. The latest display from the Taiwanese company, the i2473Pwm, offers a 24-inch monitor with a unique base that houses two speakers inside giving consumers more options to help save desktop space.
The i2473Pwm is a full HD IPS LCD monitor with an LED backflight that features a 1920x1080 resolution at 60 Hz. Color depth of the monitor is 16.7 million with a dynamic contrast ratio of 50 M:1. Connections for the monitor cover both VGA and HDMI inputs, with a mobile high-definition link that allows for the charging of tablets and smartphones while their content is displayed on screen. Refresh rate of the AOC monitor is 5 ms.
Appearance of the i2473Pwm is different from other monitors thanks to its base, which houses two seven-inch speakers that are powered by Onkyo sound technology. Onkyo, best known for surround sound speakers for home theater applications, brings a new level of sound to on-board monitor speakers which generally play from the rear or bottom bezel without much power behind them. The design gives more versatility to the display to be used for gaming, computer or mobile applications over others, which may not house high quality speakers or may lack them altogether.
The monitor is currently listed as a pre-order on Amazon for $250. AOC covers the i2473Pwm under its three-year warranty and EASE exchange program.
