PA features three-channel mixer, 5 hour battery and multiple inputs
UK company Kitsound has announced the release of its newest portable speaker option, the Kingston PA Sound System. Going beyond the typical offerings from the company, including portable Bluetooth speakers and headphones, the Kingston PA draws inspiration from spontaneous Caribbean street parties and Jamaican DJs to aid to its functionality and design.
The sound system offers more options than a simple portable speaker would, bringing features that help fine tune the sound along with options for device inputs. Making use of an incorporated three-channel mixer, the units gives users manipulation over different sound inputs including mic, line-in and the Bluetooth/dock source. A master volume control gives greater flexibility over the sound the Kingston PA cranks out.
On top of XLR and RCA inputs, devices can also connect to the PA speaker through Bluetooth across a number of devices. A dock on the top of the device also allows Lightning connections for modern-generation iPhone and iPads. There are even analog RCA outputs for sound recording.
An internal battery powers the Kingston PA Sound System, giving it up to five hours of battery life between charges. It is constructed from MDF wood, and coated with epoxy paint to help it hold up to the abuse of outdoor use. The system also features built-in wheels and a telescoping handle for easy transportation.
Recommended retail pricing for the Kingston PA is £199 ($340).
