NewerTech releases 5TB+5TB Guardian Maximus external storage with mirrored drives, multiple interfac

Newer Technology has announced a new 5TB+5TB capacity for its Guardian Maximus line of dual-bay external storage, adding storage capacity and throughput to any Mac or PC with USB 3.0 eSATA, FireWire 800, or FireWire 400. Plug and Play ready in RAID-1 mode for "mirrored" data across two drives, if one drive fails, the other drive holds all data intact and allows the system to remain functioning. Upon replacing the failed drive, the new one automatically mirrors to provide data redundancy. The 5TB+5TB model of the Guardian Maximus is priced at $780.



FileMaker's 'early bird' registration deadline for its annual conference June 3

FileMaker has announced that its 'early bird' registration offer for the annual FileMaker Developer Conference will soon expire, ending June 3. The event will be held July 28-31 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, Texas. Attendees can choose from variety of sessions on user-centric design and development for mobile devices, FileMaker WebDirect, and more. Conference fees start at $1,600, and the Early Bird registration is accompanied by a $300 discount.
