VirusTotal Uploader for OS X allows Mac users to upload suspicious files for scanning

Google has announced the release of its file-scanning software, VirusTotal Uploader, for OS X. Allowing users to upload files they are suspicious of to be scanned, VirusTotal Uploader for Windows has been available for some time. The OS X version includes dragging and dropping a file or folder to the VirusTotal Uploader, and can scan it against over 50 antivirus solutions. Applications can also be scanned. VirusTotal Uploader for OS X can be downloaded immediately for OS X 10.8 and 10.9.



Inapp Translator available for Android

A new translation app is now available for Android devices, which functions within other applications. InappTranslator allows users to translate whole or part segments of text into one's preferred language without the need to close the active app. Translation is done on-screen, and the software monitors the clipboard, automatically translating the content of it to the target language. Free to download, Inapp Translator supports 45 languages and is compatible with nearly any application.
