Google to introduce interface for Android voice search that is 'eyes-free'
Android's voice search functionality is anticipated to broaden its capabilities to offer an "eyes-free" interface, aimed at users who are driving. According to Tech Radar, the initiative is codenamed KITT and allows for accessing the "OK Google" voice search feature from anywhere within the phone. If Google cannot provide the information in a way that does not require viewing the screen, the information is saved until it can be safely viewed. More information regarding this upcoming feature will likely surface at Google's I/O conference.
HP's 11.6-inch Chromebook, 14-inch Android laptop announced
HP has announced its latest laptop offerings, the Chromebook PC, and the Slatebook PC, to be available in late summer. An 11.6-inch with a Samsung-powered processor, the Chromebook PC is designed to emulate the larger Chromebook 14, with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. Featuring a battery life of 6.25 hours, 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM, the Chromebook PC will be priced at $250.
The Slatebook PC, a 14-inch Android laptop, features a Nvidia Tegra 4 processor, with 2GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage.The Slatebook PC will be priced at $400.
