Motorola Moto Stream accessory lets five users 'heist' music streams

Moto Stream provide Bluetooth connectivity to non-networked audio systems

Motorola has unveiled a new wireless audio adapter allowing Android, iOS, and Windows-based smartphones and tablets to connect to existing speaker systems. The Moto Stream attaches to a standard audio input jack or RCA connector on speakers or an audio system, and can pipe music streaming over Bluetooth, with the company claiming a range of up to 300 feet between device and the Stream.

Housed in an unusual icosahedron casing, the Stream has five front lights as indicators, NFC for rapid pairing with up to five devices, and is powered by microUSB. Songs can be played from a variety of apps, including Google Play Music, Pandora, and Spotify, with users also able to "heist" the current song and play a different selection at any time.

Motorola is shipping the Moto Stream today for $50 from its website, with RadioShack set to commence sales of the accessory from June 6th.

Ha! That lead shot makes it look the size of a basketball. That would be fun.
