LG G Watch could be priced below Samsung Gear 2 Neo

Specifications for LG's G Watch have leaked, claiming the smartwatch will have a 1.6-inch 280x280-resolution TFT display. The leaked specifications, appearing on Twitter, hint at the capabilities of the Android Wear-powered device, while a second report claims that, in the United Kingdom at least, it will be shipping at far below the cost of the competing Samsung Gear 2 Neo.

The specifications list from UpLeaks states it will include support for five languages, with voice commands allowing it to send and receive messages, and record voice memos. Using a 400mAh battery, the device is said to last for up to 36 hours from one two-hour charge, and will have a 4GB storage capacity, Bluetooth 4.0 LE connectivity, and can synchronize with a PC. While it does not have the heart rate monitor that the Gear smartwatches use, nor a camera, its standby consumption listing notes it will have touch and tilt sensors, and will also have a pedometer function. There does not appear to be any mention of the rumored built-in SIM, though this could still be for a region-specific model.

Sources of Modaco claim the G Watch will be shipping on 7th July in the United Kingdom, and though the price is not specified, it will be below Samsung's camera-less smartwatch price of £170 ($285). It is still expected the G Watch will be unveiled at Google I/O later this month.
