Autodesk announces animation export tool Maya LT 2015 Extension 1
Autodesk has announced the release of its new Maya LT 2015 Extension 1, an animation export software tool. Allowing artists and professional independent game makers to create more elaborate characters and environmental objects, the tool provides a new method of exporting multiple animations per FBX file. Animated content can more easily be put into a game engine, and set driven key and utility nodes assist artists in better controlling relationships between objects in a scene.
Maya LT 2015 Extension 1's new game exporter offers the ability to define multiple animation clips within the tool, by giving each a name, along with a start and stop frame. New utility nodes in Maya LT let artists finely adjust their character rigs and animations in the node editor, and give riggers and animators better control over their animations. Auto-generated character rigs and now be used more easily. The new Maya LT extension is now available for all current customers.
