CFast card ISC3E released, compatible with CFast 2.0 and SATA 3.1

ADATA Technology has announced the launch of its CFast 2.0 memory card, the ISC3E. Combining the form-factor of a CF Card with a high-speed SATA interface, the ISC3E is compatible with CFast 2.0 and SATA 3.1. Its sequential read/write speed is up to 435/120 MB/s and 165/170 MB/s, with its physical integrity offerin shock and vibration resistance, as well as the ability to withstand temperatures from -40C to 85C.



The ISC3E CFast includes SLC 4GB-64GB and MLC 4GB - 128GB in capacity, suitable for networking, industrial computers, medical application, and more. The card can be integrated into a host system without any BIOS modifications or additional device drivers. More information about the new CFast memory card can be found through ADATA.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown now available for Linux users

Feral Interactive has announced that its strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unknown is now available for Linux. The first game to be developed and published for Linux by Feral Interactive, the game is a re-imagining of X-COM: UFO Defense, which was originally produced in 1994. Players find themselves as the commander of XCOM, a secret global military organization, and oversee combat strategies and individual unit tactics as well as base management and resource allocation. The Linux version of XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a SteamPlay title which runs on Ubuntu 14.04 and Valve's SteamOS. The game is regularly priced at $30 -however is presently available for 75 percent off - with add-on content accessible through Steam.
