Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could have multiple 64-bit variants at launch

European Galaxy Note 4 may use 64-bit Exynos processor instead of Snapdragon 805

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 may ship with two different 64-bit processors in regional variants, according to recently-released benchmarks. The phablet is believed to be using Samsung's Exynos 5433 64-bit processor for its European release, while the markets in North America and Asia will apparently use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset instead.

Antutu benchmarks spotted by PhoneArena suggest the European version will be the more powerful, with the Exynos 5433 scoring 40,303 compared to the Snapdragon 805's 37,780 points total. Processors in current flagship devices score around 25,000 under the same benchmark.

Another leak from PhoneArena over the weekend claims the Note 4 will have a Quad HD Super AMOLED display, just as with earlier rumors, along with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 16-megapixel rear camera with possible optical image stabilization, and a 3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Note 4 is thought to be launching during IFA in September.

The Note 4 is not the first smartphone with a 64-bit processor to surface from the company. Another benchmark released last week showed a lower-specification device packing the 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor.
