Octa-core Kirin 920 processor used in Honor 6

Huawei has launched its rumored 'Mulan' smartphone as the Honor 6. Just as leaked previously, the Honor 6 has a five-inch 1920x1080-resolution display using thin 2.86mm bezels giving the device a screen-to-body ratio of 75.7 percent, packed into a 6.5mm-thick (0.26 inches) aluminum alloy frame with a 'spin effect' textured finish, which is said to cool the smartphone down by up to 6 degrees Celsius(42.8 degrees Fahrenheit.)

Inside is a Huawei-produced Kirin 920 octa-core processor running Android 4.4.2, pairing four Cortex-A15 cores with an equal number of Cortex-A7 cores, reports G for Games, along with a Mali-T628 GPU and 3GB of RAM. Options for 16GB and 32GB of storage with microSD expansion will be available, along with Category 6 LTE connectivity at up to 300Mbps, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and a 3,000mAh battery. On the back is a 13-megapixel Sony BSI camera with dual LED flash, autofocus, and an aperture of F2.0, while the front has a 5-megapixel version.

Huawei will start shipping the Honor 6 in China from July 1st, priced at 1,999 RMB ($320) for the 16GB model and 2,499 ($400) for the 32GB version. It is unknown if Huawei will ship the Honor 6 to other markets.

A difference of 6 degrees C is the same as a difference of 10.8 degrees F (multiply by 9/5).
