Pioneer announces Dolby Atmos-enabled Elite speakers, Elite SC series receivers

Pioneer has announced a new dedicated line of Dolby Atmos-enabled Elite speakers and Elite SC series of home theater receivers. Dolby Atmos technology was first established for cinema use, and the collaboration with Pioneer aims to offer a multi-dimensional sound experience. Dolby's partnerships will not stop at Pioneer, with Dolby Atmos branded Blu-ray and streaming video services to be launched this fall.

Microsoft's Windows Phone 8.1 update to offer folder support

Microsoft is planning to natively support folders for apps on the Start Screen of its Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, according to a now-removed support article. Functioning similarly to iOS, users will be able to drag on Tile on top of another to create a folder that can be renamed if desired. According to The Verge, the update is in its final stages of testing, and will likely debut in July or August.
