QNAP launches new fabless, silent HS-251 NAS device

QNap Systems has announced the release of its Silent Network-Attached Storage (NAS) series addition, the HS-251, designed for living-room use. Featuring a wide range of multimedia applications, the HS-251 offers real-time and offline Full HD video transcoding, and HDMI connectivity for local playback. Simultaneous viewing of different videos is possible with the device, and video content can be converted in formats that can be easily played on PCs, mobile devices and smart TVs.

Containing no fan inside, the NAS runs without producing noise alongside HDTVs, cable boxes and game consoles. The HS-251's set-top design includes a two-bay, Intel dual-core 2.41 GHz CPU, 1GB DDR3L RAM, SATA HDD/SSD, and hot-swappable hard drives. Device ports include two USB 3.0 and two Gigabit LAN, as well as one HDMI output. Now available, more information about the HS-251 Turbo NAS can be found through QNap.



KitSound introduces Arena headphones

KitSound has announced the release of its new Arena headphones, featuring call-handling and wireless connectivity. Bluetooth-enabled, the Arena's rechargeable battery can last for up to 10 hours of use. The headphones are additionally compatible with devices that can be connected via its 3.5mm jack for wired use. Available in brown, KitSound's Arena headphones are priced at $70.
