C720 Chromebook has 1.7GHz processor, 32GB storage
Acer has unveiled its first Chromebook running on a fourth-generation Intel Core i3 processor, in the form of an upgraded C720. Two models of the Chromebook have been launched, with both using the Haswell-based Core i3-40005U processor clocked at 1.7GHz, with the C720-3404 model having 4GB of RAM and the C720-3871 using 2GB and enjoying a lower price point.
The two Chrome OS devices appear to be similar to the original Chromebook C720, using an 11.6-inch ComfyView display with a resolution of 1366x768, a 720p webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 and 2.0 slots, memory card reader, and an HDMI output. Unlike the earlier models, both will upgrade the 16GB of onboard storage for a larger 32GB, though the same 3,950 mAh battery is said to last for an identical 8.5 hours.
