Plustek's MobileOffice S602 USB card scanner announced
Plustek Technology has announced the launch of its new Plustek MobileOffice S601, a portable A6-sized identification card and license scanner. The device is comparable in size to a smartphone, and is capable of scanning a card in under five seconds. Intended for scanning licenses, identification cards, business cards, receipts, checks and deposit slips, the scanner includes two one-touch, programmable buttons that can create searchable PDFs or images by pressing a button.
The Plustek MobileOffice S601 also features advanced image processing, allowing users to scan cards -- including embossed plastic cards -- with no adjustments required. Requiring no warm-up time due to its use of LED illumination, the scanner uses industry-standard TWAIN drivers and can scan cards up to 1.2mm thick. The MobileOffice S601 will begin to ship this month, and is priced at $100.
