Sony Xperia Z3 resurfaces, size compared to Galaxy Note 3

Leaked images show rounded edges on Sony Xperia Z3

The Sony Xperia Z3 has allegedly resurfaced in another round of reportedly-leaked images. The shots of the follow-up to the Xperia Z2 give an all-round view of the rumored smartphone, with one image comparing its physical size against the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 suggesting it to be just as tall a device, but will have a similar narrow display to its predecessor.

The images from Xperia Blog appear to show a device with curved edges, instead of the previous flat design, though it still retains the majority of the design language. Button placements, the magnetic dock connection, and physical connection points all match the Z2's positions, with the 1/ 2.3-inch 20.7mm Exmor RS sensor with G Lens also making an appearance. Possibly the most drastic change relates to the front speakers, opting for more conventional on-the-face placements instead of the Z2's edge speakers.

Current rumored specifications for the Z3 place it as having a Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM and a 1080p display. While an August launch for the smartphone has been touted, it is possible Sony will wait to unveil it at IFA in September.
