Front-facing speakers of Moto E shown in leaked Moto G2 photograph
Motorola may be preparing to launch an update to the Moto G, according to a leaked photograph and report. Aside from working on the Moto X+1, Motorola's follow-up to the Moto G could end up being a slight improvement on the original, with alleged specifications suggesting the 8-megapixel rear camera is the biggest upgrade for the entire smartphone.
The image from Mellando no Android suggests the Moto G2 will become more like the Moto E in appearance, complete with front-facing speakers near the top and bottom of the display. It is believed to house a quad-core processor, most likely a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, an Adreno 305 GPU, and dual SIM card slots, along with a 720p display roughly the same size as the Moto G's
If genuine, it is possible Motorola could launch it alongside the Moto X+1, and could end up equaling the Moto G's $200 price tag.
