updated 01:15 pm EDT, Tue July 22, 2014

Drive pricey, but in larger sizes cheaper than equivalent iPad storage

Accessory manufacturer PQI is now shipping the Gmobi iStick, an Apple "MFi" USB flash drive. The device, with a Lightning and conventional USB head, is designed for Apple's entire series of iOS devices with a Lightning port, and is available in capacities from 8GB to 64GB.

The flash drive includes the Gmobi iStick application, which allows users of the drive to stream video, manage files, and backup iPad documents from within iOS. A slide reveals which connector the user wishes to connect with, and prevents the stick from being installed on two devices simultaneously.

Pricing in US dollars starts at $80 for 8GB, $100 for 16GB, $130 for 32GB, $180 for 64GB and $300 for 128GB.
