Origin PC introduces new EVO15-S lightweight gaming laptop, Back to School promotion

Origin PC has announced its new EVO15-S gaming laptop, as well as a Back to School promotion. The laptop is thin, with a width measuring 0.78 inches, and weighing 4.36 pounds. Featuring a fourth-generation Intel Core i7 Processor, 16GB of DDR3 memory, Nvidia GeForce GTX 870M 3GB discrete graphics and Creative Sound Blaster Cinema 2 sound, the 15-inch laptop manages up to four hours of battery life. The EVO15-S includes Bluetooth 4.0, a KillerNIC E2200 LAN connection and USB 3.0 connectivity. Its anti-ghosting backlit keyboard offers seven standard color choices, with the option to fully customize colors and zones. The laptop's exterior can also be customized with a variety of paint choices and etching options.



Origin's Back to School promotion offers free ground shipping within the US. Those purchasing the laptop will additionally receive a free digital copy of Watch Dogs, a two-year product replacement warranty, and a 240GB Visiontek GO Drive. Pricing starts at $2,200.

Adata launches XPG V3 DDR3 overclocking memory

Adata Technology has announced the launch of its latest XPG V3 series overclocking memory. Running at 3100MHz, its dual channel is designed for gamers and intensive PC users, and can transfer bandwidth up to 24.8GB per second. The XPG V3 utilizes Thermal Conductive Technology (TCT), reducing the system temperature and enabling every chip to have contact with heat sinks directly. Its detachable fins and eight-layer PCBs with two ounces of copper offer stable data transfer, with a lower EMI that enables those interested in overclocking to achieve high benchmarks as well as stability. The detachable fin heat sinks can be replaced and fastened by screws, improving durability. The XPG V3 overclocking memory is available from various online retailers.
